9 FRAME ANALYSIS:
BENJI 2018
The first few seconds of the film shows us a long shot taken with a high-angle camera, what appears to look like an abandoned Warehouse, with a truck allocated in the center of the shot having two people on their possible nightshift. A brightly floured, flickering sign, is shown that says ‘Joes Family Style BBQ’. The presence of a few lights illuminates the area to a certain extent creating a rather gloomy atmosphere. The sign contrasting with the background can also indicate how that is a small sign of hope in these dark time. The worn-out building and gloomy atmosphere
This close-up shot focuses on the shoes as a figure gets out of his vehicle. His shoes can not be seen clearly as they pulverize by the dirt on the floor due to his impactful steps. Considering the type of shoes he is wearing indicates that he is a possible worker at the warehouse. The shoes are shown before the rest of his body raises suspicion as well. And the use of lowkey lighting within that location only creates the idea that something could or will go wrong within a few minutes.
This is another long shot taken with a low-angle camera, The low lighting from the car  identify’s the silhouette emerging closer to the camera slowly revealing bits of the figure’s body, raising further suspicion of the possible event that will be taking place as he  holds what appears to be an elongated weapon and a net in the other. He advances on his journey to take care of important business, the question is... 'what is he going to do?
Within this shot,  It sits in the middle of a dirty and disorganized area, probably near the warehouse. Emphasis on the light is on the dog, which shows that dog is important to the context of this particular scene. it also shows how this dog is lonely and unsupported. in a small cluttered space it trys to temporary shelter or possibly be trap in somehow. this can further tell us how life is like for a dog like him/her
Another close-up shot then focuses on the man we saw earlier. we are able to see a man in beige attire, with a net in his belt, a gun holder at the back and wearing gloves on hands in which he holds a pole in his hands . The attire he wears sugest that the man is a potential dog catcher. Revealing the darker truth of his purpose as he remains firm with the weapon in his getting ready to harm the dog, which is expected by the previous frames
This shot is a further extension of the two previous shots coming together, we now understand the main aim of the man as come face to face preparing themselves on how they could possibly handle the situation. the dog being con We also see how cultured the actual room up close is enough for it to be abandoned particularly in a place where the workers go to that room for the sole purpose of keeping the dogs temporarily
In this mid-shot the dog catcher is throws the dog in a cage. Light comes from behind in the way the man and the dog are not clear creating this intense comotion. The shot is taken from the cage,and as the dog tries to escape his manhandling it is unsuccessful and has been thrown in the process
just shows how they would treat dogs and other creatures in a similar cruel way. the cage itself play a psychological game with us as we see this whole process
In this close up it shows the dog's emotions after it was thrown in that cage. The thought of leaving someone behind, someone you love, you can see it in it's eyes  as it was unwillingly  draged  behind bars. The cage is rather rusty probabaly because they do not care or they use it on a daily bases to capture various dogs. they made this shot so clear that the emotions of the dog are visible enough to make the audience connect emotionally it
A deep focus, a long shot is taken here.
It says its last goodbyes knowing they may or may not see each other again. As the vehical leaves with the dog in the cage, it was no match to catch up to the vehical’s speed for a puppy. There is light on the dog but after that there is darkness, which keeps the focus on the puppy and also shows it’s loneliness and helplessness seeing it's companion drift away
