THE BUDGET
With the image I had in my head of our band, I made a list of everything we would need to shoot our final product. Making this list definitely helped us obtain props beforehand, so we don't end up shooting blindly and realize we have nothing to work with.
The props we need are primarily items all four of us own (or can borrow, read: steal from our friends). A few things will need to be purchased, but if we all split the money, it surely wouldn't be that big of an issue.
The following are slides I made on Canva listing all our props.

One thing that I kept in mind was the colour theme for our props. Both of our settings will have distinct colour palettes. The colours are important to set the tone of our opening, and will go hand in hand with determining the audience's mood. The first being a brown and orange dominated one for scenes with the band to accurately portray the era with a pop of colour such as blue, red, purple etc. (showcasing flamboyant pop culture in a way that is fitting for a rock band) . On the other hand, the scenes with the journalist would be rather dull and have minimal colours, with the journalist ideally wearing a black hoodie. Therefore, we will try our best to incorporate these colours in the bands outfits, makeup, lighting and instruments.
